AlmaU in top 3 of the best humanitarian-economic HEIs in the IQAA-Ranking 2022
AlmaU is among the top 3 universities in Kazakhstan's IQAA-Ranking, 2nd in website rankings and 7th in research publication rankings among Kazakhstani universities in the field of humanities and economics
Almaty Management University was ranked 3rd in the institutional ranking 2022 of the Independent Quality Assurance Agency for Education (IQAA-Ranking) in the category "Best Humanities and Economics Universities". Almaty Management University for the last 7 years is in the top 3 of the National ranking of the best humanities and economic universities of Kazakhstan 2022.
In 2022 IQAA-Ranking additionally analysed 100 Kazakhstani HEIs and published two ratings: by scientific publications and by quality of information provision. The assessment of the publication activity of university faculty and staff is based on open data from international databases, such as: Web of Science, Scopus and RSCI. Information provision is calculated through the analysis of the content of higher education institutions' websites.
Almaty Management University was ranked 2nd out of 21 in the Humanities and Economics Universities Website Ranking - 2022 and 7th out of 21 in the Humanities and Economics Universities Research Publications Ranking - 2022.
The Independent Quality Assurance Agency for Education (IQAA-Ranking) has published the results of the National Ranking of Leading Universities of Kazakhstan 2022, which has been published this year for the 14th time since 2008.
The Independent Quality Assurance Agency for Education (IQAA) is a non-profit organisation established to improve the quality of education and the competitiveness of foreign and Kazakhstani educational institutions, to provide information to stakeholders in Kazakhstan and abroad on good practice educational organisations.
The IQAA-Ranking methodology is based on the analysis of seven academic indicators. Indicator 1 represents the qualitative composition of the student contingent, Indicator 2 - student learning results and the number of educational programmes implemented in the university, Indicator 3 - academic staff: faculty; Indicator 4 - research and innovation activities of the university; Indicator 5 - international cooperation; Indicator 6 - information support; Indicator 7 - employment of university graduates.
In 2022, 31 universities participated in the National Ranking of Leading Universities and submitted data for analysis and ranking (in the category of multidisciplinary universities - 10, technical - 11, humanitarian and economic - 5, pedagogical - 3, and medical - 2).
