May 12, 2015 18 students of MBA program of Harvard University informally met with graduates of AlmaU (previously IAB) MBA program. During the meeting, they discussed the differences in the form and content of training at two universities, and found similarities. The main purpose of the event was to help MBA students from different backgrounds exchange their ideas and experience and get to know each other.
The meeting started with a welcome speech of the president of AlmaU Assylbek Kozhakhmetov. He expressed hope than this visit marked as a beginning of development multilateral relations between Harvard University and Almaty Management University. He was glad that AlmaU was the platform for dialogue of different cultures, expertise and innovation. This was a historic time when the best business school in the world meets the best business school in Central Asia!
John Barret, student of Harvard University also shared with his experience:
“During the study we form a group of 6-10 people and put a selection of 40 countries in which we have to travel and take part in a real life of the company. Internship lasts 10 days, during which we should solve a real business cases arisen in the work of the company”.
